### BIO

Dr. April Strom received her Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction (Mathematics Education) from Arizona State University. She received her master's degree in mathematics education and bachelor's degree in mathematics from Texas Tech University. Dr. Strom has taught mathematics at the community college level since 1998. She has participated in grant projects focused on professional development for K-12 mathematics teachers. Her research interests include investigating secondary mathematics teachers' understanding of exponential functions and precalculus students' conceptual development of the concept of function.### EXPERTISE
